Kickstart employment support for disabled people in Leeds

Kickstart is a service aimed at supporting disabled jobseekers of working age ready to move into long-term sustainable employment. The service is open to disabled people in the Leeds area who are:

  • Of working age
  • Looking for paid employment.

You will get tailored support from a specialist employment advisor to understand your career goals and how to achieve them.

We offer:

  • support with your CV
  • training in job search and preparing for interviews
  • advice and guidance on your career
  • on-going support for you and your employer.

Short breaks and activities for disabled children in Leeds

Scope Activities works with Leeds City Council to promote short breaks and activities for families with disabled children aged up to 18.

We do this in 3 ways. We offer:

3.    Scope Inclusion Quality Mark for universal providers in Leeds.

Starting Line, Leeds

Starting Line pre-employment service for disabled people

Starting Line is a pre-employment service supporting disabled people in the boroughs of Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Hackney, Islington, Leeds, Newham and Waltham Forest to find, apply for and keep a job. The service is open to disabled people who are:

  • Of working age
  • Looking for support to find training or employment opportunities

For 2 mornings a week for 7 weeks, group training sessions will help you to:

  • grow in confidence, assertiveness and independence
  • develop your interview skills
  • find volunteering, training or employment opportunities
  • talk about disability in the workplace
  • You will also get one-to-one support from a specialist employment adviser.
