Using the influence of professional sport, the trust is responsible for all community sports and activities on behalf of Huddersfield Giants Rugby League. Huddersfield Giants Community Trust has the ability to engage people, improve community cohesion, improve fitness and well-being and raise the hopes and aspirations of the people of Kirklees and wider. The charity uses the power of sport to inspire people of all ages and abilities through key areas in Sport, Health and Social Inclusion Including the National Citizen Scheme. The Trust engages with over 200,000 people every year through sports coaching within The Zone, local schools, grassroots clubs and the wider community. Multi Sports Inclusion – Our Inclusion programme provides opportunities for disabled people to become actively involved in regular Multi-sporting activities or the chance to coach with HGCT if playing the game isn’t for them. We are a charity that works to increase social inclusion for people who face exclusion due to any form of disability. We promote inclusion through the provision of activities in green spaces and other indoor and outdoor day trips and events. We also host community projects which include events with an arts, nature, history or conservation focus. We also have a CIC side which supports independence and boosts confidence with Active travel support and provision of wheelchair skills courses.

Geeks Room CiC provide an alternative environment to the traditional school, where children are able to learn through gaming (GamEducation) and practical based lessons. All the lessons are conducted by mentors, each lesson is tailored to the needs of the individual child and in line with the school curriculum. We cater for children 8-18, for all abilities and capabilities and we especially want to support children with special needs. The aim is to be inclusive to all at the centre and provide an interactive and fun approach to learning while in a safe environment and having the freedom to socialise with all.
