As well as considering the physical, mental and emotional effects of trauma, the session also introduces a range of support and a ‘toolkit’ to initiate and continue the healing process.
A key theme throughout is that trauma is not your fault and the feelings/ reactions following a trauma are normal. It is important to understand what has happened in order to identify how to move through it, in a safe and supported environment.
It is also important to remember there is no time limit on trauma. Whether it was one week, month, year or years ago – your trauma is not ancient history. And your experience and feelings are always as valid as anyone else’s.
