The Children’s Sleep Charity are a national, award-winning charity supporting children with sleep issues. We provide support for families and accredited training for professionals and commercial organisations. Sleep deprivation can have a serious impacton emotional, physical and mental health, many families seeking our support are approaching crisis point. We offer a range of services from working directly with parents to training professionals in the NHS. Our work is based on the latest research and we have a team of experts who input into our training materials and courses. We believe in working in partnership with families and offer a gentle approach to making lasting changes to your child’s sleep patterns.

We support over 15,000 disabled children, young people and their families every year by delivering over 120 services throughout England. KIDS is unique; there is no other organisation dedicated to providing such an extensive range of services to disabled children and young people, aged 0-25 years, irrespective of their impairment or condition.

KIDS Wakefield Parent Carer Forum (TEAM)
LWCA is a charity, established since 1998 which exists to provide short breaks for children and young people with additional needs. There are 4 projects within Leeds Weekend Care Association. Weekenders Club: Essentially is a play scheme operating from Vine Education Centre in Leeds 6. We are open Saturdays and Sundays 47 weekends per year from 10.00 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. There are places for 136 children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. Each child/young person gets to come to their session once a month. We operate on a minimum of 2 staff to 1 child but this ratio fluctuates according to the needs of each child/young person. Lots of our clients have medical needs or high supervisory needs which means we would often have 1:1 supervision. We are supported by volunteers in this project. Voluntary contribution – £22.00 per session. The Out and About Project: Is for teenagers with inclusive needs between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. Leeds Weekenders Care Association
LJWB is a social care charity, providing a range of registered care, community activities, and support for people of all ages. Based in the MAZ Community Centre in LS17, we deliver activities for primary age children and also provide family support for parents/carers of children with additional needs. ‘Together’ SEN Group A fun & social play session for children with additional needs. Sessions provide respite for parents/carers, and we also provide information and parent support sessions alongside the ‘Together’ programme. Sessions are on Sundays between 10-11am at the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Community Centre. Inclusive Art Group For children /young people aged 8-13 runs on Thursdays 4:00-5.30pm. Children with additional needs are welcome and we ensure high adult to child ratios. Places are limited, and booking is essential.
