This workshop is being taught by an identifying PDA Autistic and therefore will be taught from an identity-positive framework. Come along to learn more about demand avoidance and also additional traits of PDAers. This knowledge will provide clarity on why distressing behaviours may be occurring and also guidance on how to support your PDA young person. Sensory Room for Families with Additional Needs Pop-up sensory room for families who might find a visit to the museum overwhelming. This event is for families with SEND, neurodiversity, autism and/or anxiety. Pop into our sensory room with dark tents, light-up toys, squishy floor tiles, dens and a bubble tube. You can come and go as you need to, and there’ll be no need to queue. We have organised a Sunshine Youth Club trip to Leeds Putt & Play at The Springs. This event is for young people of high school age 11-18yrs. For this event young people must be supervised and supported by a parent or carer at all times. Sunshine & Smiles are funding the outing, however you can make a voluntary donation when you book.
