Its good to talk. Little Hiccups will be opening up the conversation on Feb 6th during our Stay n Play session at Leeds Mencap 1pm-2.30pm.

We are offering free SENDIASS parent carer training providing an outline of and supporting information on the key stages of transition within education and associated health and social care.

Oakwood Solicitors will be delivering a drop in session alongside our Out and About Project Mencap night in. Drop in for advice on making a will, trusts for children with additional needs and disabilities and information about our upcoming Make a Will Week in May. Simply come along! Its February Half Term next week and we’re continuing our Stay n Play sessions for children with Disabilities or Additional Needs but have asked Made with Music to come down and run a sensory music session. 

We hope you can join us to raise money for the William Merritt Centre and learn about disability accessible Gaming. Our WMC Gamers will be around to offer information and advise on Accessible gaming.

The Centre is hosting a Disabled Access Day pop up event to highlight the different travel options that are available for people with disabilities in Leeds. Including information on disability adapted motorbikes, vehicle adaptions, medical fitness to drive assessments, air travel and bus travel. This is happening on Wednesday 25th March from 6-9pm at the accessible venue Headrow House in Leeds city centre (19a The Headrow, LS1 6PU). We originally advertised this event as being on a different date, so please let anyone you know is interested know about this change.
