Purple Patch Arts.

Since 2009, Purple Patch Arts has existed to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people by providing innovative, inclusive, creative learning experiences for them and the professionals who support them.Our Lifelong Learning Programmes are for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Our specialist staff use creative methods such as art, drama, music, movement and multi-sensory activity to make learning fun and accessible, exploring a wide range of different topics based on a yearly theme. We explore a wide range of different topics that engage and challenge, while working with participants to develop their confidence, independence, communication and social skills, and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Through our Projects and Partnerships work, we regularly work with day services, supported living providers, libraries, Universities, schools and other organisations to deliver short term, funded projects that meet specific outcomes. Based in Leeds, Phoenix Dance Theatre is one of the UK’s leading contemporary dance companies. Each year the professional company embarks on national tours, presenting dance productions to audiences throughout the UK and beyond. Phoenix Dance Theatre’s aim is to create dynamic, diverse and relevant work that embodies the company’s rich Caribbean history and shines a light on cultural narratives. Our Learning & Development department is committed to providing opportunities for all through provisions which range from Saturday School, Illuminate Dance programmes, Youth Academies, schools’ packages and performance led projects. Illuminate is our specialist dance provision for young people aged 6-25 with additional needs. Illuminate provides much needed access to dance for the young people of Leeds. Families are at the heart of Illuminate, it is built for and with the community, to meet key areas of need for the families we engage with. Additional Needs Dance Holiday Playschemes Outreach Youth Clubs
LJWB.

LJWB is a social care charity, providing a range of registered care, community activities, and support for people of all ages. Based in the MAZ Community Centre in LS17, we deliver activities for primary age children and also provide family support for parents/carers of children with additional needs. ‘Together’ SEN Group A fun & social play session for children with additional needs. Sessions provide respite for parents/carers, and we also provide information and parent support sessions alongside the ‘Together’ programme. Sessions are on Sundays between 10-11am at the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Community Centre. Inclusive Art Group For children /young people aged 8-13 runs on Thursdays 4:00-5.30pm. Children with additional needs are welcome and we ensure high adult to child ratios. Places are limited, and booking is essential. Family Support We provide advice and support for children and families with additional needs. Please contact the Family Support Team on 0113 203 4916 for further information.
