Sunflowers for ages 2-8 on a Saturday morning, every 2 weeks.
The session is now longer to allow families to stay for a cuppa and a chat. A team member will be there providing refreshments, and please feel free to bring a packed lunch. There will also be some craft for the children during this time- see structure below.
You can book onto the session here.
These sessions encourage children to explore their imagination and use their bodies through play and movement. Accessible to all – we use props, craft, music and singing to promote a creative environment full of fun.
Katie Aynsley, who runs the sessions, has experience of working with children, young people, and adults with disabilities. She has volunteered, assisted, and taught a wide range of accessible and inclusive dance sessions within the community. She is now the academy dance tutor for Mind the Gap theatre company in Bradford and a dance support worker for Mesh Dance an inclusive youth dance company in Leeds. Katie is also a support worker providing support in the community for families and young people with additional needs.
Siblings are welcome and feel free to bring lunch/snack to have afterwards. Bookings will close at 9am Saturday and please remember to cancel your place if you can no longer attend. Enjoy!
