Background information

Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families on low incomes raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people, providing 92,585 essential grants and services worth over £32 million to families across the UK last year.

We provide grants for essential items such as kitchen appliances, sensory toys, family breaks, bedding, tablets/computers, furniture and clothing. It can be a struggle financially, emotionally and physically for families raising a disabled or seriously ill child, and these grants help break down many of the barriers families face, improving their quality of life and easing the additional daily pressures.

Irwin Mitchell

Irwin Mitchell is a full service law firm based in various locations across the country. The firm is ranked as a market-leading personal legal services firm in the independent Legal 500 and Chambers UK guides to UK law, with over 75 lawyers personally recommended.

We offer multiple legal services, and have award winning teams, including specialists in personal injury and clinical negligence. Our specialist lawyers are here to make things easier for you and your family. Every year we help thousands of people claim for personal injury. Compensation is only part of the story though, and our solicitors could also help you access the rehabilitation, medical care and support you need to make the best recovery possible.

We all need legal or financial advice at some point in our personal lives. It can help us through some of our key milestones – buying a house, getting married, planning retirement, providing for your kids’ future, or moving to a new country. But it’s also vital when things don’t go according to plan – if you’re hurt in an accident, a medical procedure goes wrong, a loved one loses mental capacity, or you’re treated unfairly by work or the government. It could also be a difficult family matter such as a separation, or a dispute over a will. And it can also give us peace of mind for the future, whether that’s with a new Will, a power of attorney, or a solid financial plan. Whatever your situation, we have specialists ready to help. We’ll listen to you and strive for the best possible outcome.
