LEEDS PCF – ‘Short Breaks’ Representative Opportunity!

An exciting opportunity has become available to represent Leeds PCF working in partnership with the Short Breaks Steering Group. We are looking for one parent representative to work alongside one of our co vice-chairs, Maria Adams, to work as an equal partner on the short breaks steering group.
“Short breaks are activities for children and young people with SEND that enable them to have fun, spend time with friends and build their confidence and skills in a safe environment. Activities can last from 1 hour up to a full weekend (residential) opportunities.”

As a representative you would need to have a committed responsibility to working collaboratively with other PCF representatives to gather and share the voice of parents and carers in Leeds.

This is an established steering group which Leeds PCF has recently become involved with. Meetings will take place every 3 months for 2 hours at a time via Microsoft Teams. The next meeting is planned for Tuesday 12th September at 1pm-3pm.

You will be required to give feedback to the Leeds PCF Steering Group, via our proforma, and attend relevant Leeds PCF meetings/events.

To be a representative you MUST:
– Be a registered member of the Leeds PCF;
– Be a parent carer of a child/young person with SEND; and
– Complete a Representative Information Form.

Register your interest in the above opportunity by emailing info@leedsparentcarerforum.co.uk
Please share any relevant experience/interests in your email.

Closing date: Thursday 31st August 2023
