Kirklees Local Offer – Information, services and activities for young people 0-25 with Special Educational needs and Disabilities (SEND)
ABC Leeds is a voluntary support group for families who have children or young people with or without a diagnosis of autism/Asperger syndrome. We offer advice and support on any issues concerning or surrounding autism and do this via monthly drop in at Leeds Central Library, monthly evening meetings, Facebook, twitter, email or the telephone and a monthly information sheet that advertises not only what we do as a group but whatever is happening in and around autism in Leeds.

We are a museum service of nine venues across Leeds: Abbey House Museum, Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds City Museum, Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills, Thwaite Watermill, Leeds Discovery Centre, Lotherton and Temple Newsam. We work with people who have different experiences and needs, connecting people to objects and stories of the city. We have regular sensory-based family activities, facilitate workshops for SILCs and special schools and support career and skills development.

Families facing a brain tumour diagnosis of a child feel scared, confused and alone. We know. That’s why we’re working to support families by: Providing unique, honest, coaching-led support by phone (24/7) or email, helping families overcome challenges and find the best possible outcome for their child, and their family Helping families feel less alone by creating communities of peer support, […]
