This friendly, informal group brings carers together to have a chat and discuss a new novel chosen by the group each month. Until recently the Leeds central library provided the group with books, and we met in person. As this is no longer possible, the group now meet virtually through Zoom, about every six weeks on a Wednesday. We also keep in touch with each other through email. At the moment we are buying our own books, once we have all agreed on a title; we’ve found that good second hand copies can be found at a reasonable cost and there are often bargains available for new copies.
We’d love to welcome more carers with a love of reading to the group. Carers at the group enjoy having time for themselves and the social aspect of the meetings. There is always time for a chat and a catch-up.
