Made with Music are hosting an accessible, family friendly Mini Gig. It is an afternoon of live music with real bands in a real gig venue. Made with Music charity prides itself on being inclusive and accessible and want more families to be able to attend live music events. Here are some of the things they do to make their gigs accessible:
- Mobiloo at each event (an accessible toilet with changing bench, hoist and attendant)
- Pre-information available including a photo guide
- Access to the space before the event to check it out
- Clear signage around the building
- Strict timings which are available before the event
- Level access, suitable for wheelchairs
- Variety of seating available (benches, mats, chairs, beanbags)
- Black out tent if you need to dampen all other senses but still want to listen to the music
- Ear defenders available to borrow
- Plenty of staff around the room to answer any questions you have
- Keep some tickets back for families who can’t decide until the day
If there is anything they can do to help you more specifically, please do get in touch on hello@madewithmusic.co.uk of find them on social media. The gig is on Sunday 27th March, 12-3pm at the Brudenell Social Club. The event will show as sold out but we have a handful of tickets available for families with additional access needs so please email if you would like tickets.
