QA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course
What’s Covered?
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency paediatric first aider
- Assessing an emergency situation
- Dealing with an unresponsive infant or child
- Recovery Position
- CPR and defibrillation
- Choking
- Minor Injuries
- Bites and Stings
- Seizures
- External Bleeding
- Hypovolaemic shock
We have also added 30 extra minutes to answer any specific queries that our families may have (i.e. How to deal with a choking child in a wheelchair, how to administer first aid to a pre-verbal child, etc). To ensure best use of this time, if you have any queries you want to ask at this session, please email me on info@littlehiccups.co.uk after booking and I will email them in advance to the trainers.
The course will run 9.15am-4.45pm and there will be lunch provided. When booking, please do let me know of any dietary requirements. Bookings close a week before the event to allow planning.

Meet The Trainer
First On Scene are Ofqual regulated qualifications delivered by medical professionals who have years of experience dealing with real-life emergencies.
Jayne Myers worked in the Ambulance Service for 20 years, serving 12 years as a Paramedic. Jayne holds a City & Guilds Teaching Certificate and has over 10 years’ experience in delivering a wide range of courses, including instructor programmes and courses in the field of pre-hospital care.
