Flamingo Chicks.

Flamingo Chicks provides inclusive ballet classes, giving children with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy ballet alongside their friends We are passionate about providing an inclusive, fun and rich dance experience for children, by translating a version of ballet that is accessible to all, regardless of disability.  Our classes are great fun – a mixture of dance and drama with lots of sensory equipment, storytelling and characterisation with the aim of improving balance, co-ordination, social skills and confidence. We have all kinds of children in our classes including children who are visually impaired, those with autism, cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome or other complex needs and those without additional needs. We also support children with illnesses, such as those undergoing treatment for cancer. While the children explore movement their parents and carers benefit from a vital support network. We also have a large network of volunteers, who provide vital help either in our classes or by volunteering their services, such as costume makers, photographers and set designers. Our vision is a world where disabled people have the same range of opportunities, and a culture of integrated social and well-being activity, where everyone works together as equals.
