MEET THE MAKER AT 21 CO.

Family Fun Day Parent/Carer

On Thursday 2nd  November, we’ll be hosting our latest Meet The Maker evening at 21 Co., featuring Jo-Ann Eisenberg from Hannah Stained Glass. Jo-Ann is a glass artist based in Leeds. Her work combines stained and fused glass to create unique glass artworks. As a child, Jo-Ann would sit for hours and admire the sunsets from her grandma’s back garden which overlooked a beautiful wood. Gazing at those skies over these special woods at dusk filled her with joy, longing and a sense of infinite space. Working with glass brings Jo-Ann those same feelings, and she strives to capture that […]

Additional Needs Advice Outreach
Carers Leeds

The Parent Carer service at Carers Leeds offers support to anyone caring for a child, up to the age of 19, with a disability, additional needs, or a long-term illness. We offer information, advice and signposting, as well as emotional support. We can offer emotional support either on a one-to-one basis, or through our monthly support groups. We can also help with applying for benefits, form filling, advocacy, and supporting families through other processes such as EHCPs or Early Help Plans. We can take referrals from professionals but people are also welcome to self-refer for our service. Below is a video by @CarersLeeds and @irwinmitchell on how to complete a DLA form. It takes people through how to complete a new claim form or renewal to ensure the best possible information is submitted to maximise chances of a successful claim.   http://bit.ly/3ooowNq

Additional Needs Advice Training
Bradford Cinderella Club

The Cinderella Club has one basic aim. “To improve life for the underprivileged children of Bradford.” We try to achieve that by enabling them to :- Participate in activities alongside their school friends. Obtain some of the desirables in life that others take for granted. Obtain some of the necessities for life within their own area of need. We cannot wave magic wands to make this happen but we can do it in other ways:- Provide funding that they cannot acquire for themselves. Provide contacts who can help their situation Influence others to get involved.
