SEND Next Choices – Getting ready for adult life is returning to Leeds first direct arena on Tuesday 24th June 2025! I’m Me Festival

NLY Community Sport

NLY Community Sport is a not-for-profit organisation based in Yorkshire, which was established in September 2017 by James Grayson and Connor Rollinson. We provide sports coaching to adults and children with disabilities and learning difficulties from all walks of life. Currently we have over 60 participants across our sessions. The organisation is built on solid values. We believe in the power of sport to inspire people, irrespective of their social or economic background. We aim to increase our participants’ confidence and social skills, and help them build new friendships/relationships. We also aim to combat social isolation and loneliness, as well as enabling our participants to develop their physical and communication skills. We also want our participants to enjoy sporting achievement. We currently run five Disability Football teams across Yorkshire – Pontefract Pirates (Adult and Juniors) South Yorkshire Superheroes (Juniors) Nostell Miners Welfare DFC (Adults) Selby Disability Football Club (Adults)

The Yorkshire Super 1s Programme

We are a free cricket session held on a weekly basis. These sessions are delivered by the Yorkshire Cricket Board and funded by the Lord Taverners. We provide weekly opportunities for children aged 12-25 with any form of SEND the chance to participate in weekly physical activity (usually cricket) whilst offering workshop opportunities to build a better future.

Contact a Family is a National Charity supporting families of children with disabilities throughout their journey, from birth – 25 years. We are an information, guidance and advice charity offering help and support across a wide range of issues that families encounter from Health, Education, Finances and Benefits, Family issues, equipment, grants, legal aspects etc. Our team of specialist trained experts that staff our help desk supporting families with queries at times of need ; and  we also have parent advisors that work in the regions supporting families with workshops, events, support groups etc.
