Christmas Fun at Sundown Adventureland

SNAPS Halloween Party

SNAPS has planned a Special Spooky Spectacular Party for the whole family this October half term, featuring a disco, fancy dress competition, messy play, arts & crafts and much MORE!  We will be providing a buffet and refreshments at the party. Memories Made with Music: Intergenerational Singing Pilot Project

Made with Music and Abbey House Museum invite you to an event sharing the learning from our pilot intergenerational singing project, funded by Helping Hands through Leeds Community Foundation. We worked in three settings over the past year; a community cafe, a children’s centre and a care home. Family Action’s WESAIL.

Wakefield Early Support Advice Information Liaison (WESAIL) is available to parents and carers of a child or a young person, who has, or may have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25 years who are living within the Wakefield District. This service is also available to young people themselves and those working with families. Wakefield Early Support, Advice, Information and Liaison (WESAIL) provides a free, confidential and impartial service – which means we do not take sides and try to ensure everyone is given opportunities to express their views and feel listened to. WESAIL provide information, advice, support and signposting according to need by either by telephone or where needed on an individual or targeted basis or through events and workshops. We share details of events on the Local Offer, our facebook page and provide information through the Information Network. WESAIL offers information covering a range of matters relating to Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) including education, health, social care, personalisation, personal budgets along with benefits and leisure. Bradford Council through Children’s Services, Education and Learning provides a range of specialist teaching and support services to schools and Private, Voluntary and Independent Early Years settings as part of its offer and statutory duties for children and young people aged 0-25 years with special educational needs and disabilities.The Low Incidence team are a team of specialist teachers and support workers, instructors, habilitation officers, audiologists and technical officers who provide specialist teaching and support and outreach work to children and young people who are / have: Visual impairment Hearing impairment Multi-sensory impairment Physical needs We also manage specialist provision for children who are deaf, vision impaired or multi-sensory impaired in the Local Authority led Resourced Provisions: Grove House Primary School (VI) Swain House Primary School (Deaf) Girlington Primary School (Deaf) Hanson Delta Academy (Deaf and VI)

AWARE

Airedale & Wharfedale Autism Resource (AWARE) is a support group for families affected by autism. We produce a monthly newsletter, provide e-updates throughout the month and have a very active closed facebook group for members. We hold parents’ and carers’ meetings with knowledgeable speakers, regular socials including dads’ meet-ups and parent training courses. We also run lots of events for children, young people and their families including a weekly youth club; holiday play schemes; monthly cookery club and trip club for teenagers with autism; moving-on club for 18-25’s; residential short breaks for children 8-18 years and family residentials. We run our events in Airedale, Wharfedale and Bradford. We are open to any family whether their child has a formal diagnosis or not and from any area;  however due to funding some of our services are only available to children from a particular authority. We ask families to join which is £15/year and this can be done on our website https://aware-uk.org
