A fun run-style event and a fun-filled day for the whole family!
We are very excited to launch our annual inclusive ‘fun run’ style event for 2024, giving all children the chance to feel like a superhero for the day!
Every child can decide on their own distance target on the 400m track. They may choose to go halfway or the full way around, or keep going around the track as many times as they like. They can walk, run or wheel* their way around whilst being cheered on to the finish line, where they will receive their very own challenge medal.
There will be lots of other fun activities including a superhero meet and greet, dance warm up, bouncy castle, inclusive sport sessions, emergency services meet and greet, face painting, and lots more surprises!
Not only does the Superhero Challenge promise to be a fun filled day, it’s also a great way for us to raise much needed funds. We receive no government funding to provide our services, so we rely on the kindness of wonderful people like you to support us.
To help us to continue providing the support we do for children with additional needs, we are asking those taking part to try and raise as much sponsorship as they can. Raising £46 can cover the cost of one SNAPS physiotherapy session, but anything you can raise will make a huge difference to SNAPS and we’d be so grateful. There will also be a special gift for all families who reach their target.
In the current economic climate, the running costs for the event have increased from last year, but we are keen to keep it as affordable as possible for families. So, we are offering an early bird offer until the end of June of £5 per child, and adults go free!
After this point, we may need to assess numbers and increase the ticket price slightly, but of course we will do our best to keep it as low as possible.
