LJWB is a social care charity, providing a range of registered care, community activities, and support for people of all ages. Based in the MAZ Community Centre in LS17, we deliver activities for primary age children and also provide family support for parents/carers of children with additional needs. ‘Together’ SEN Group A fun & social play session for children with additional needs. Sessions provide respite for parents/carers, and we also provide information and parent support sessions alongside the ‘Together’ programme. Sessions are on Sundays between 10-11am at the Marjorie & Arnold Ziff Community Centre. Inclusive Art Group For children /young people aged 8-13 runs on Thursdays 4:00-5.30pm. Children with additional needs are welcome and we ensure high adult to child ratios. Places are limited, and booking is essential. Additional Needs Advice Outreach Stay n Play

PhysCap is a Yorkshire charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for children suffering from physical and learning disabilities. Run entirely by volunteers meaning every penny raised goes directly to those in need, PhysCap carry out fundraising events over the course of each year so as to be able to support families with children 18 years and under. PhysCap offers assistance to individual children as well as groups of children for example within schools by way of specialised and therapeutic equipment, residential breaks and play schemes and other practical aspects of daily living. PhysCap is happy to consider applications from children with or without diagnosis as long as it is supported by an Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist or alternative professional body. Additional Needs Equipment Hire Family Fun Days

Family Fund provides grants to families raising disabled and seriously ill children aged 17 and under. Our grants support a family, improve their well-being, increase quality of life and ease many of the pressures they often face. We are a registered charity and the UK’s largest provider of grants to families living on low incomes who are raising disabled or seriously ill children. Our grants bring practical and essential help that is often a lifeline to a family such as washing machines, fridges, bedding, specialist toys and much-need family breaks. With limited funding we try to help as many families as we can. We use our own eligibility criteria to ensure that we only help families in the most need. We will consider helping a family once every 12 months and will usually look at a grant application 12 months from the date of the last grant. Depending on what a family have asked for, we will award a grant in a number of different ways.
