SNAPS Family Support

Parent/Carer Wellbeing

We are changing the way we run Family Support sessions… We are now running sessions monthly, but alternating between a general support group and a wellbeing morning. We’ll be bringing in different practitioners for the wellbeing sessions, and providing a buffet lunch on these days. The wellbeing sessions will be bookable and the support group will remain as a drop in. Trip to The Showcase Cinema

Booking released: Monday 14th October 2024 at 7pm Little Hiccups hire out one of the cinema’s for Little Hiccups families and provide a relaxed showing with reduced lighting and reduced sound.The showing will be subtitled.  I am currently confirming if this showing comes with audio descriptions. Stay n’ Play Weekly Stay n’ Play for under 5’s for children with additional needs and disabilities. We aim to provide a place where parents/carers can go with their children where they can relax in a safe environment and meet other families in similar circumstances. Family Fun Days A weekend Family Fun Day out and about on a monthly basis for all the family (and our special children that have started school!) that cannot make the weekly session and because we recognise that the whole family is involved. Our goal is also to show that there are no limits to having fun!   Sport Sessions Sport sessions including Hydrotherapy with trained physiotherapists at a reduced cost so that it is accessible to all families. We are a free cricket session held on a weekly basis. These sessions are delivered by the Yorkshire Cricket Board and funded by the Lord Taverners. We provide weekly opportunities for children aged 12-25 with any form of SEND the chance to participate in weekly physical activity (usually cricket) whilst offering workshop opportunities to build a better future.
