Sunshine and Smiles ‘Bee Inspired’ Spring Garden Session

Family Fun Day

During the Easter holidays, we will be holding a spring-themed garden session in the garden at Stainbeck. As part of the session, Kate from ‘Bee Inspired Eco Education‘ will be delivering an engaging 60 minute session where children and adults can learn in a fun and interesting way about bees and other pollinators. There will also be spring themed activites such as seed planting, bird feeder making, and stone painting. Family Fun Day Wellbeing Workshop

OPEN – an inclusive music group for anyone who might need extra support to make music with family and friends. Made with Music are running taster sessions throughout the summer term to introduce families to the project where you’ll get to meet the team, try out some of the instruments and get to know the venue. This project is a partnership between Made with Music and Leeds Conservatoire. Purple Patch Arts.

Since 2009, Purple Patch Arts has existed to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people by providing innovative, inclusive, creative learning experiences for them and the professionals who support them.Our Lifelong Learning Programmes are for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Our specialist staff use creative methods such as art, drama, music, movement and multi-sensory activity to make learning fun and accessible, exploring a wide range of different topics based on a yearly theme. We explore a wide range of different topics that engage and challenge, while working with participants to develop their confidence, independence, communication and social skills, and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Through our Projects and Partnerships work, we regularly work with day services, supported living providers, libraries, Universities, schools and other organisations to deliver short term, funded projects that meet specific outcomes. SNOOP (Special Needs Objective Outreach Project).

SNOOP is a registered charity based in Eccleshill in Bradford, West Yorkshire and working across the whole of the Bradford Metropolitan District, including Bradford, Keighley, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven. We have been pleased to support families of children and adults with SEND/autism and disabilities for the last 24 years. We operate from a purpose built centre, with fantastic facilities and is fully accessible. SNOOP provides the following services and support for children with SEND, adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and their parent/carers: After School Clubs Children’s holiday play schemes 3-16 years Adults day services and activities – 16-45 years Adults Social Group Preparation for Adulthood sessions and support planning for parent carers Youth Club SEND nursery providing early education funded places for 2,3 and 4 year olds Founded by the 2 Carols, we have an established reputation for quality and high standard of care and support and are sought externally for respresentation of the voice of young people and parent/carers of people with SEND and learning disabiilties and consultants in learning disabilility. We are very pleased to be part of the WYCANN network to share information and knowledge to enable and empower parent/carers as much as is possible.

DEX Deaf Experience.

Deaf EXperience Limited (DEX) is a charity which campaigns nationally to improve access to education, wellbeing and quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing young people. We support deaf young people across Yorkshire to meet other young deaf people and to share their experiences. We welcome young people with any level of deafness and all communication methods. We deliver a variety of events where deaf young people can have fun, learn something new and meet others! We have two different groups. The DEX Deaf Youth Hub (DDYH) is for 11 to 17 year old’s and the DEX Deaf Youth Council (DDYC) is for 17 to 30 year old’s. Interpreters are at all events to help everyone to chat and make friends! Do you work with deaf young people aged between 11 and 30? Are you based in Yorkshire? We can come to your school, college or organization to deliver a FREE outreach session to explain what we offer for deaf young people! We also offer Deaf Awareness training for organisations, companies, care homes and other youth facilities

Changing Faces.

Changing Faces is the UK’s leading charity for everyone with a mark, scar or condition on their face or body that makes them look different. We offer free emotional, social and counselling support for people who have a visible difference which affects their mental or emotional wellbeing. This include a support and information line, one-to-one social and emotional support sessions, an online community forum, peer support group sessions (18yrs +), and online workshops for children, young people and parents, and a skin camouflage service.  Our skin camouflage service is available at locations across England & Scotland. Our free wellbeing services are all delivered via telephone, video session or online, meaning they can be accessed across the UK, wherever you live. On our website you will also find self-help guides and resources for schools.
