We’re looking at climbing with Rokt Foundation in slots of an hour during Feb half term (please note this event is on a Tuesday). Slot will be able to take up to 12 climbers at a time (ages 5+), depending on ability so some may be smaller.
Slots will be an hour long and will run on:
- 10am-11am
- 11.30am-12.30pm
- 1pm-2pm
- 2.30pm-3.30pm
Please email me on info@littlehiccups.co.uk if you have a request. I will try my best to take them all into consideration.
Due to the low numbers climbing this will be a child only activity. Adult spectators do not need to book a ticket but will need to supervise.
It IS February and will be cold – the building is an old factory/warehouse. Please wear layers that you can add or remove as necessary. Climbing shoes are provided but own trainers/pumps are also acceptable.
Please be aware again that this is an old building. It is not very accessible unfortunately. There is NO lift (and many floors – I tested it!) There are steps up to the main toilets. The ground floor is wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled toilet with a removable ramp for access. Children with less mobility are also welcome to book on as there is a ‘harness’ for them to allow climbing. They can either be lifted by instructors or can climb using arms with the aid of instructors. We have 4 spaces available for this (one for each session) as this requires an instructor 1:1.
Also available is a Caving Area that children will be allowed to use.
There is a party room that we can use for a picnic area and you are welcome to bring your own lunches/snacks and use this room. There will be tea/coffee and juice available.
The Rokt Foundation has just opened up a new space to thrive inside after they launched their new £18,000 sensory room. It features a musical touch wall, light plinth, Bluetooth musical stool, rainbow ball, UV carpet and projection equipment for relaxing and watching educational films.
