Our ‘Parents Together’ workshop on Tuesday 28th June at 7.30pm will look at how parents can feel more empowered to support their child in everyday issues that they may experience because of looking different. We’ll look at specific tools on how to deal with staring, teasing and bullying, handling awkward social situations, as well as ways to increase confidence and build resilience. We are hosting a Study Day on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). It is about the ‘Becoming an Aided Communicator’ international research project and the language and communication opportunities of children and young people. The Study Day will take place on Tuesday 21st June in Leeds and delegates can attend either in-person or virtually. Sunflowers for ages 2-8 on a Saturday morning, every 2 weeks. The session is now longer to allow families to stay for a cuppa and a chat. A team member will be there providing refreshments, and please feel free to bring a packed lunch. There will also be some craft for the children during this time- see structure below.
