Music Session

Made with Music for ages 2-8 from 11:45 – 12:45 at Stainbeck Community Hall Made with Music is a charity in Leeds who provide accessible and educational live music experiences for families and young people. Every 2 weeks they offer sessions to Sunshine & Smiles families of various ages and use signing and singing to encourage learning and fun. This session is for children aged 2-8 and Made with Music encourage everyone to join in to allow each individual to enjoy the personal and social benefits singing brings to a group. The Children’s Sleep Charity are a national, award-winning charity supporting children with sleep issues. We provide support for families and accredited training for professionals and commercial organisations. Sleep deprivation can have a serious impacton emotional, physical and mental health, many families seeking our support are approaching crisis point. We offer a range of services from working directly with parents to training professionals in the NHS. Our work is based on the latest research and we have a team of experts who input into our training materials and courses. The Information, Advice and Support Service is for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the Bradford area – and for their children too. We provide independent and impartial information, advice and support to parents of children and young people who have or may have special education needs (SEN). Children and young people may also access support from the service. Our service can help you with the following: providing access to information regarding SEN provision, Education, Health and Care Plans, statements, transport, exclusions and appeals helping to explain the content of reports/letters making telephone calls on client’s behalf and supporting them with writing letters supporting clients to arrange meetings with schools and other professionals and attending the meetings with parents accompanying clients on visits to alternative educational settings liaising with schools, the local authority and other agencies to promote positive relationships with clients disagreement resolution services equipping clients with the skills and confidence to work with professionals signposting clients to other sources of support

Interplay Theatre

Interplay Theatre tours annually to arts venues and SEN schools with sensory theatre work specifically designed for young people with complex needs. With a strong aesthetic and touching narratives, our performances give young people with PMLD the chance to experience high quality theatre in school, like other young people their age. From our theatre building in Armley, we run our community programme, LS12 Creative and we offer open days, performances, projects and sessions for young people with Additional Needs.
