AFRIKINDNESS

Afrikindness, established as a registered charity in 2023, is committed to advancing the education and social development of racially marginalized and socially excluded children and young people, empowering them to reach their full potential and thrive in society. Our key objectives are as follows: 1) Advancing Education: We equip parents and teachers with resources and support, promoting academic success and lifelong learning, so every child, regardless of race, has the tools they need to excel. 2) Social and Character Development: Through specialised programs and resources, we build resilience, empathy, and social skills, fostering strong, positive identities in young people. Knowing fully that the key stakeholders in a child’s development are parents and schools, we collaborate with both to support the well-being of young people. 3) Promoting Racial Harmony: We educate the public, especially parents, on racial diversity and equality, working to eliminate discrimination while fostering mutual understanding and respect across diverse racial and cultural backgrounds. Through training and intervention support, we empower parents with tools to navigate the challenges of parenting in a multicultural society. In addressing cultural and racial barriers, Afrikindness bridges gaps that can often hinder young people’s racial identity formation. By creating a collaborative network among teachers, […]
